Orthodontic Applications

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry aimed at diagnosing, preventing and correcting malocclusions in tooth and jaw structure. At Bulut Dental, orthodontic treatments begin with panoramic radiography and, if necessary, 3D tomographic imaging, whereby your teeth and jaw structure are analyzed in detail. The digital data obtained is used to create an individualized treatment plan; thus, tooth movements are simulated in advance and the ideal road map is determined.

In the treatment phase, both traditional bracket systems and clear aligners (Invisalign®) are offered. In traditional braces, metal or ceramic brackets are fixed to the tooth surface with special adhesives and archwires provide slow, controlled movement of the teeth. Transparent aligners, on the other hand, offer a comfortable alternative for patients with high aesthetic expectations with their thin, removable structure; teeth are directed to the targeted alignment with aligners that are renewed every 1-2 weeks.

The active correction process usually lasts between 12-24 months and the appliance settings are optimized at regular check-ups every 6-8 weeks. Paying extra attention to oral hygiene during this period increases the success and speed of treatment. Once the treatment is completed, the use of retainers is recommended to maintain the new position of the teeth; the retention period can vary from a few months to several years.

At Bulut Dental, we offer you a special, reliable and comfortable orthodontic service with our modern digital infrastructure, expert orthodontist staff and free pre-examination opportunity.

The active correction phase with braces or clear aligners is usually completed between 12-24 months; the duration may vary depending on the case and the appliance used.

It is mostly ideal for the control of a mixture of milk and permanent teeth at the age of 9-10 years; however, it can also be easily applied in adults.

Clear aligners are removable and offer aesthetic advantages, while conventional braces are fixed systems and are preferred for more complex tooth movements.
